Dorn, Stewart Talk New Trek Movie...

Michael Dorn and Patrick Stewart have both said that in their opinions, there will be annother film in the Trek franchise starring the Next Generation Cast.

"My opinion, which is solely my opinion, is yes there will," Dorn told G4 in a recent interview on Attack of The Show to promote the airing of the Next Generation and the Original Series shows on the cable network.

"Hopefully it'll be a Worf story" Dorn added "Where Worf saves the galaxy, and gets the cute chick!" This dispite the fact that Dorn's character almost never was a part of the 7 year run for the Next Gen crew. The cast had already been in place for 2 weeks when Dorn was called to take the role.

Dorn recalls "They were a tight knit group. But at the last minute, Gene Roddenberry, who created Star Trek, was tired of getting grief from the fans: 'What about the Klingons?'" Roddenberry decided, "'Things change; let's have a Klingon on the bridge. And that's when they called me.' It was last minute."

He also confessed that he'd almost left the show during the second season because of all the dammage to his skin from the makeup, and prosthetics that transformed Dorn into his Klingon counterpart. At one time, Dorn was doing a convention literally every weekend, but now has chosen to do only the "cool places" and 3-4 conventions a year. just for fun, he's flying ex-millitary jets.
